The fact that the development of chess in Cyprus has been great in the recent years has led us to the need to create and organize an International Chess Tournament that will be a pole of attraction for many top chess players from around the world.

Now is the right time, as the Cyprus Chess Federation and the various chess clubs and chess academies are active as never before.

The 1st International Chess Tournament is co-organized by OFIS Chess Club and Flamingo Beach Hotel in Larnaca. In addition, the tournament is under the auspices of the Cyprus Chess Federation and is considered one of the biggest sports events to take place on our island.
